Disc parking is now available over two floors of Chester Street car park in a change designed to improve access to Douglas town centre and support the local economy.
The measure is the first to be introduced since the Department of Infrastructure resumed control of the Chester Street and Drumgold Street car parks from Douglas Borough Council last month.
Residents affected by the Douglas Promenade Refurbishment Scheme will be given access to an entire floor of Chester Street car park – a total of 58 spaces - until the project is completed.
Free parking is also available 6pm to 8am until further notice at Parade Street East and The Tongue car parks, which are run by the Department of Infrastructure.
No changes are currently planned to the operation of Drumgold Street car park.
