Thousands of pupils across the Island will return to the classroom from today.
The attendance of all pupils will be compulsory from this morning with the Manx Government warning parents will face a fine up to £1,000 if their child fails to attend classes without good reason.
Education Minister Dr Alex Allinson said: ‘Attending school is vitally important for our children’s education and just as importantly, their mental wellbeing.
‘Current international evidence has shown that COVID-19 infections and outbreaks are uncommon across all educational settings and the re-opening of schools has been associated with very few local outbreaks."
