Commissioner reacts to 'unfair by-election' claims

An argument has erupted at a local authority after a candidate in an upcoming by-election made repeated claims the contest is 'unfair'.

David Quirk has accused Onchan Commissioners of failing to provide him with a voters' list after he announced he was standing.

The by-election, due to take place on 22 October, has now been cast into doubt after central government are said to have been asked to investigate.
