An Air Accident Investigation report has revealed a light aircraft crashed on the Island aborting a landing to avoid a wild horse.
The Cessna 182RG overturned after hitting a farm fence before landing upside down in a field next to the Mount Rule airstrip in Braddan in March this year.
A report said the pilot "saw a horse appear near the end of the runway" and aborted the attempt.
The aircraft had reached the end of the runway but hit a set of farm gates and crash landed upside down.
The pilot and passenger managed to free themselves from the aircraft unhurt.
