Teachers on the Island are another step closer to strike action as their dispute with the Department of Education intensifies.
The Headteacher of Ramsey Grammar School has written to parents informing them that due to the action being taken by Teachers, the school cannot be operated safely, so changes are being made.
In the letter to parents dated yesterday, Annette Baker said that in order students are adequately supervised, they will be placing pupils from different year groups and subjects, in to larger rooms for part of the school day.
It comes as Teachers move to a second phase of the dispute, in what is called “Action Short of Strike Action’.
The disagreement is over pay and conditions.
