Coronavirus: Workers sent home after coming into contact with infected person

Workers at Zurich International have been sent home as a COVID-19 precaution.

The insurance firm has asked all staff to stay away from its offices at the Isle of Man Business Park.

A deep clean will be carried out after employees came into contact with a person who tested positive for coronavirus.

In a statement, Zurich said: “The health and safety of our employees is of paramount importance. We have followed our internal Health and Safety protocols and, as a precautionary measure only, we have sent all employees home to work remotely. We can confirm that there are currently no positive Covid-19 cases amongst our employees. Procedures are in place to ensure business continuity”
