Manx Labour’s Devon Watson has promised to start fighting a ‘national housing crisis at a local level’ following his Douglas Council by-election victory.
The 25-year-old received 305 votes of the 19.6 per cent turnout as he was elected to represent the Derby Ward constituency.
Fellow Manx Labour nominee Samuel Hamer sealed enough votes to fill the second vacancy, with Alan Buck (Lib Van) and Amanda Walker (Independent) missing out.
