Final chance to apply to be a retained firefighter

People have until the end of this week to apply to become a retained firefighter.

The Island's fire service are recruiting for the on-call roles in Laxey, Kirk Michael, Peel and Port Erin stations.

They are also are creating a talent pool for on-call firefighters at Ramsey and Douglas Stations.

Weekly training nights are being held this week between 6:30pm and 8:30pm where people can meet the crews, observe a typical training night and discuss any queries.

The first will be held in Onchan this evening.
