Former MLP chairman hails new dawn after election triumph

Manx Labour’s success at local authority level is proof that people want change, according to a former party chairman.

Both its candidates were elected to represent Douglas Council at a by-election last Thursday.

David Cretney, who’s been associated with the party for more than three decades, says attentions now turn to next year’s House of Keys elections.

He told Local Democracy Reporter Chris Cave he hopes the momentum will continue to build:
