Island marks Remembrance Sunday

Hundreds of people gathered at war memorials in towns and villages across the Island to mark Remembrance Sunday yesterday.
Crowds observed a two-minute silence at 11am, followed by a series of wreath laying ceremonies.
In Douglas, Mayor Jonathan Joughin JP, led the wreath-laying ceremony by laying a wreath at the war memorial on behalf of the people of Douglas.
In the afternoon, a National Service of Remembrance was held in St John's.
