Firefighters tackle house fire

Firefighters tackled a house fire in Kirk Michael on Saturday evening.

Two crews were sent to the property at 6:35pm.

A Breathing Apparatus team entered the property and extinguished a fire in the lounge.

Crews used a Thermal Imaging Camera to check for hot spots and then ventilated the smoke logged property using a positive pressure ventilation fan.
