Peel MHK criticised for 'awful approach' to regeneration work

A trader in Peel has strongly criticised the policy and reform minister for his part in plans for the town’s regeneration.

It follows more than 30 businesses voicing their disapproval for proposed development work on Michael Street and Atholl Place.

Peel Commissioners are voting today on whether or not to approve the plans, which could see the roads shut for at least nine months.

Stuart Hardingham, who runs Simpsons Hardware, says he feels let down by senior politicians that represent the region:
