Ramsey Town Commissioners have organised a short memorial service to commemorate the 111th anniversary of the loss of the Ellan Vannin.
The Steam Packet Company's small vessel sunk in 1909 travelling from Ramsey to Liverpool during one of the worst storms of the century.
Of the Ellan Vannin's 15 passengers and 21 crew, only three bodies were found in the ship's remains, which were found under 30 ft of water below the Mersey approach channel.
The service will take place at 6.30pm at the memorial plaque on West Quay on Thursday 3rd December.
