Sleet and snow expected on higher ground

We could see some snow fall on the Island this afternoon.

Forecasters at Ronaldsway are predicting sleet or wet snow to fall on higher ground.

It will be cloudy with further further showery outbreaks of rain this afternoon, frequent and heavy at times and may turn wintry over the hills, with sleet or wet snow mainly on higher ground. Light winds freshening northerly later today and a maximum temperature of 6°C.

The Island's Roads Policing Unit are advising motorists to drive to the conditions.
