Store closed for deep clean after customer tested positive for COVID-19

A furniture store in Douglas has been closed for a deep clean after a customer who tested positive for coronvirus had visited the store.

B&B Furniture said it was notified by the 111 COVID-19 Track and Trace team.

In a statement, the company: "A customer who had visited their showroom on 2nd January tested positive for coronavirus."

"Track and Trace identified only one contact with a member of staff who has since been tested and has had a negative result. Our member of staff and their family are now, as a precaution, self-isolating for until further notice. Our delivery and fitting staff were not on the premises and are continuing as normal."

As a precaution the store has been closed for a deep clean and intends to re-open again tomorrow.
