Circuit breaker measures to be introduced

Chief Minister Howard Quayle has confirmed the Isle of Man will enter a 'circuit breaker' following an increase in coronavirus cases.
New measures will be introduced at 00:01 from Thursday.
Mr Quayle confirmed it was currently unknown if current cases are of the new variant seen in the UK.
Restrictions will include:

No gatherings outside with those outside your immediate household.

All pubs, restaurants, bars and nightclubs must close.

Schools and nurseries ordered to close.

Essential shops, hardware stores and garden centres will be allowed to remain open.

Face coverings will be required when using public transport.

Face coverings strongly advised when outside of home.
