Businesses back Government message to 'wear a mask'

A number of businesses around the Island have backed the Manx Government's message of wearing a face covering when out shopping.

Shroprite is 'strongly encouraging' all of its customers to where a face covering when shopping instore. Sanitising stations have been stores on the front of all stores and social distancing measures are in place.

Dedicated shopping hours will also be in operation for senior citizens and vulnerable customers between 8am - 9am on Saturday, Tuesday and Thursday mornings.

NHS, Emergency & Care Workers 8am - 9am on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings.

Marks and Spencers in Douglas says its food hall will remain open. The clothing and home floors will remain closed until end of the latest lockdown. The click and collect service will continue.

Entry to the story will be through the Menswear door and exit will be through the front door adjacent to Foods and Womenswear.

Tesco in Douglas says it will give more priority for vulnerable people who wish to shop instore.

The Manx Government has confirmed wearing a mask is not compulsory except for when using public transport or riding in a taxi.
