New COVID-19 vaccination hub opens at airport

A new COVID-19 vaccination centre will open today at the Island's airport.

The centre at Ronaldsway will help the current mass vaccination programme.

The facility houses ten clinical treatment rooms as well as waiting and exit areas.

Work is underway else to create another hub at the former Shoprite unit at Chester Street in Douglas which will replace the hub at Newlands.

Health and Social Care Minister David Ashford says staff overcame any hurdles to get the Airport hub up and running:
