Police warn of standing water following heavy downpours overnight

The police are warning motorists to drive to the conditions this morning.

There has been a huge amount of rain overnight which has left numerous areas of standing water and flooding.

A force spokesperson said: "If you have to make an essential journey today, please ensure you drive to the conditions and expect the unexpected."
