Rates in Onchan have increased to 326 pence in the pound after commissioners in the village revealed their next budget.
It represents a rise of under 1 per cent, which the authority says will help meet substantial increases to waste disposal charges.
A small surplus, attributed to four months of reduced services due to the Covid-19 pandemic, has been reported.
Some expenditure in the latest budget has been drawn from reserves instead of implementing a steeper increase to rates.
Funding has been included for the this year’s general election and improvements to footpaths and lighting.
Rate payments made in full by 30 June will receive a 4 per cent discount.
