Dog washed out to sea is found safe

A dog washed out to sea yesterday has been found safe and well.

Douglas Coastguard were sent to Garwick Beach at just before 3pm on Thursday.

The lifeboat was also launched to assist with the rescue, unfortunately neither service was able to locate or recover the dog despite numerous sweeps of the coast between Garwick and Laxey Harbour.

The owner of Tilly has now confirmed she was found safe and well this morning by a passerby.
