Beauty salon closed after customer tests positive for COVID-19

A beauty salon in Onchan has been closed after a customer tested positive for COVID-19.

Elements of Beauty says the customer tested positive through contact tracing but was not displaying any symptoms and was totally unaware.

The salon has followed all the protocols given by contact tracing.

A therapist who was in contact with the client will isolate for three weeks as a precaution and will also be give three COVID-19 swab tests.

Business owners were advise that the salon can still operate but they have made the decision to deep clean the salon and close until they feel its safe to reopen.
