Lockdown having impact on case numbers reducing

The Chief Minister today said the latest number of coronavirus cases show the current lockdown measures are working on Island.

Howard Quayle said: "The Council of Ministers heard this morning that the figures may indicate that the lockdown measures may be having some impact."

"Although active cases have continued to rise, the daily increase has started to reduce. We do know that subject to negative Day 13 tests over the next few days, we are about to see a lot of active cases leave self isolation. This will mean the number of active cases should reduce."

Director of Public Health Henrietta Ewart said the greatest number in new cases are in young adults and older adults:
