The Steam Packet Company has confirmed all sailings cancelled today due to 'COVID related issues'.
All of the Ben-my-Chree’s scheduled crossings for the next 24 hours have been cancelled. This includes today’s (Friday 12th March) 08:45 and 19:45 to Heysham, and the return 14:15 and Saturday morning 02:15 sailing to Douglas. The Arrow will undertake the Friday evening freight crossing.
The Ben-my-Chree will recommence a daytime service from Saturday morning, with overnight freight sailings due to be undertaken by the Arrow.
Isle of Man Steam Packet Company Chief Executive Mark Woodward said: ‘Due to two members of our crew being contacted by track and trace yesterday evening, we have had to readjust our sailings schedule for the next couple of days. To ensure lifeline freight links are maintained we have the brought in the Arrow, and the Ben-my-Chree will be back to cover daytime sailings from tomorrow.
‘As ever, the safety and welfare of our passengers and crew remains our top priority and procedures and protocols are in place to reduce any spread on board our vessels. We apologise for any inconvenience caused to our passengers and appreciate their understanding in this matter.’
