Major new mountain biking event rescheduled for August

Fri, 12 Mar 2021

A new cycling event initially scheduled to take place next month will instead go ahead in August.

Cycle 360 Corrin’s Folly Challenge has been postponed until 22 August due to the current Covid-19 restrictions.

The endurance mountain biking time trial challenge is open to anyone aged 13 or over with a total of four different classes to enter (juvenile, youth, junior and senior).

All participants already entered will automatically be signed up to the new date, although if riders are no longer able to participate in August, they will receive a full refund.

Starting and finishing at the Transport Museum on Mill Road, the course will include part of the old Railway Line, a section of the Raggatt and a mixture of hard surface, muddy lanes and footpaths with classes from one lap (juvenile) to five laps (seniors) with various prizes up for grabs.

The event will be run under British Cycling regulations with a British Cycling Commissaire overseeing the event.
