Speed checks carried out following concerns from residents

Police have been carrying out speed checks in the south of the Island following concerns from residents.

Officers carried out the checks in the St Marks area.

A small number of drivers were stopped and educated about their speed.

One driver caught speeding at 47mph in a 30mph zone was given penalty points on their licence and a £120 fine.
