Clerk of Tynwald breached data rules

The Island’s Information Commissioner has issued an enforcement notice to the Clerk of Tynwald for breaching data regulations.

It was issued last month for 'failures to comply with the right of access to personal data.’

The independent body found that the Tynwald privilege exemption has been used without justification.

The Commissioner said the breaches can’t be ignored and require correction.
