Quarterbridge Road will be closed for overnight works to be carried out.
The Department of Infrastructure says contractors are putting the finishing touches to the new pavements and the final road surface will be laid.
Once the asphalt has been laid, the road will remain closed to through traffic to allow the material to “cure”.
Quarterbridge Road will close on from 6pm this evening and remain closed to through traffic overnight and will reopen no later than 6am tomorrow (Tuesday).
Upon reopening the road will remain one way in a northerly direction, as our staff will still be working on site completing other elements of the scheme.
The road will close a second time on Thursday from 6pm, and remain closed to through traffic overnight and will reopen no later than 6am on Friday. Upon reopening the road will remain one way in a northerly direction while works continue, including reinstatement of the road markings.
It is anticipated that the road will fully open to two way traffic on, or before Monday 19 April.
