New venue for Southern Agriculture Show

The Southern Agriculture Show has a new venue.

After almost 50 years at Great Meadow on the outskirts of Castletown, the Show will be moving to a new site at Orrisdale near Ballasalla.

Organisers say the move has been prompted by not being able to secure enough land at the Great Meadow site.

The event attracts thousand of visitors over the two days, and traditionally starts on the last Saturday of July.

This year's Show will be on Saturday 31st July and Sunday 1st August.
