Police investigating collision involving Audi

Police are asking people to check their vehicle has not been stolen following a crash on the Mountain Road.

The incident happened on Sunday at around 7:50pm.

A black Audi collided with a fence in the area of the Verandah.

The driver decided not to let anyone know and continue on to Douglas where upon seeing a marked police vehicle drove at high speed overtaking a lorry after Brandish.

The driver drove along Ballacottier Road towards Clypse reservoir and dumped the car at an abandoned set of farm buildings beyond a padlocked gate.

The occupants of the vehicle remove the number plates of the vehicle and leave it next to other old vehicles in an attempt to disguise it. They made off on foot.
