The Health and Social Care Minister says his department are working with a care home which is under threat from closure.
David Ashford said:“The proposed closure of the Corrin Memorial Home has understandably caused a feeling of unrest with residents and staff, and in the wider community in Peel and the west of the Island. It’s important that residents and staff feel supported at this time and so the Department of Health and Social Care is working closely with the trustees and directors to look at all available options. A further statement will be issued in due course.”
The home is planning to close in July and current houses 21 residents.
A petition calling the care home to be saved has been signed by over 600 people.
