Ramsey lifeboat were called out on Saturday afternoon following concerns over the safety of a kayak in the sea of the Dog Mills.

The volunteer lifeboat crew from Ramsey reached the kayak and established that those on board, an adult and a child, were safe and well.
Sea conditions at the time of the call were described as flat calm.
Lifeboat Operations Manager Kevin Christian commented “The member of the public did the correct thing by calling 999 and asking for the Coastguard.
If you encounter difficulties while swimming or in the sea follow the RNLI's 'How to Float' advice (www.respectthewater.com/ ) which is to float to increase your chances of survival.”
