Douglas RNLI called out to assist in multi agency search

Douglas RNLI all-weather lifeboat was launched today at 12.35am at the request of the Coastguard.

It follows reports of a person entering the water and not being seen exiting the water.

Douglas Coastguards searched the beach with one team working North from the Broadway area with a line search while a Landrover covered the south end.

Douglas Lifeboat were also on scene searching the bay and following the line of the beach as close in as they were able to work, they were also able to illuminate the area with Para flares and their search light,

Fortunately the person was located by Police at home.
