'Summer of sport and support can boost pub trade' says MHK

Middle MHK Bill Shimmins is hoping a summer of sport can provide a massive boost for the hospitality sector.

The oldest international rivalry in football history continues this evening as Scotland prepare to face England in the European Championships.

Pubs showing the Wembley showdown are expected to be busy on the same week the industry called for more financial support from government.

Mr Shimmins told Local Democracy Reporter Chris Cave he’s hoping the Tartan Army can banish the ghost of ’96:
