The Tevir Centre at Hospice Isle of Man has been formally opened following a major refurbishment.
The extensive project was originally scheduled to be several modular building improvements carried out over a 5 year period.
It follows generous donation of £2.5 million received from the Tevir Group, and generous donations from other benefactors, including the Barrowman Foundation, TJH Foundation, the Henry Bloom Noble Trust and Kelproperties.
The Tevir Centre is Hospices’ enhanced in-patient unit and has welcomed patients back since the works were completed in December las year.
The centre was opened by His Excellency the Lieutenant Governor, with the Chief Minister Howard Quayle and the Mayor of Douglas Councillor Jonathan Joughin JP also in attendance.
