30,000 sign petition calling for trees to be saved

Several hundred people attended a demonstration over the proposal to fell a series of Elm trees in St Marks.

The protesters are against a planning application which would see 25 Elm trees felled.

The planning committee say it was made after a collision and several near misses on the Braaid Road.

Over 30,000 people have now signed a petition against the plans.
