Skinner to stand for re-election

A retired fire officer and Douglas councillor has announced his intention to seek re-election in the forthcoming local authority election in the three seat constituency of Douglas Central.

John Skinner was first elected to the Douglas Council representing Murrays Ward in 2012 and was returned at the 2016 elections.

Mr Skinner has served on several of the Council’s committees including Housing, Standards, the Local Authority Pensions Committee and was Mayor in the 2016/17 municipal year.
