David Christian won't contest seat

The leader of Douglas Council will not contest his seat at the local authority elections.

David Christian has not put his named forward for the Hills Ward seat.

The deadline for nominations was yesterday.

There will be elections in the new Central, North, and East wards on 22nd July.

Stephen Crellin, Frank Schuengel, and Claire Wells have been elected in Douglas South without a contest.
