Regional Community Hubs will continue to operate throughout this month and August.
A pilot scheme was introduced in Ramsey, Castletown and Peel in June and has been well received by the public.
The hubs are running alongside an online consultation on the introduction of community hubs for government services. Feedback on the hubs or future services can be submitted through the hub, or provided at the hub locations directly during their opening hours.
The Chair of the Chief Minister’s Community and Public Engagement Committee, Lawrie Hooper MHK said ‘I have been extremely encouraged by the take up of this service. Through the cooperation of Local Authorities and the Western Wellbeing Centre a number of government services are now being made available around the Island and there is much potential to expand on this.’
‘Feedback on the pilot has indicated the value of being able to access services regionally as well as the benefits of support for digital inclusion being provided locally. A key aim of the pilot is to gather feedback and I look forward to further feedback from local communities about the government services they might like to see delivered locally.”
Services available at the hubs include bus ticketing and travel information, event tickets, tourist information, concessionary cards and assistance with online government services
The Community Hubs will operate between the hours of 10am and 2pm in the following locations and members of the public are encouraged to come along and meet the team:
