A new video has been released aimed at supporting Year 6 students using the bus as one of their options to travel to and from high school.
The short video is intended to give both students and parents key information to make the first days of high school a little less stressful.
You can watch the video, featuring Jinny the Transport Witch, by going to www.bus.im and clicking on school buses within the timetable tab.
Hannah Lo Bao, Customer Experience Manager at Isle of Man Transport, said: ‘We all know the first few days of starting a new school can be a little daunting, so we wanted to take the worry out of getting on the school bus.
‘I really recommend students and their parents watch this video as it has key information around the School Go cards.
‘Let’s hope Ginny the Transport Witch will make your journey simply easier.’
The video will be promoted at each Island primary school for students preparing to make the step up to secondary school in September.
Students may also choose to make some of their school journeys more actively, whether walking, cycling or scooting. The new Active Travel Liaison Officer will be working closely with the Island’s schools from September to encourage and enable these options.
