Firefighters tackle telehandler fire

Fire crews tackled a telehandler on fire in Ballaugh yesterday.

Crews from Kirk Michael and Ramsey were called to the blaze at just before 10:40am.

The fire service said the vehicle well alight, at risk of spreading to a nearby barn.

They used high-pressure hose reels and a dry powder extinguisher to stop the fire from spreading to the barn which had livestock in.

Crews were in attendance for around an hour.
