A three-year fundraising campaign has helped to change the lives of more than 100 young carers here on the Island.
With just four months left to go, Quilter International employees are on schedule to hit their target of raising £30,000 for Crossroads’ Young Carers Project which helps children aged from five to 17 who care for relatives.
The aim was to raise £10,000 every year for three years with every pound being match-funded by the business. £40,000 has already been donated and that’s enabled the charity to introduce two more support groups, one-to-one sessions, take young carers off the waiting list (there are currently 71 on the list), and employ a Young Carers Worker.
