Stress caused by anti-social behaviour ‘contributed significantly’ to the death of an Onchan woman, a court’s heard.

The inquiry into the death of 73-year-old Lesley Cubbon found she died of natural causes in her own home.

Mrs Cubbon had called the police three times in 12 minutes to complain of youths throwing pears on the evening of 11 August last year.

At one point, she told the operator “I’ll have a damn heart attack before this lot’s over”.

Coroner of Inquests Jayne Hughes concluded myocardial ischaemia, a severe blockage of one of the heart’s arteries, was the cause of death.
