People on the Island have until tomorrow to have their say on proposed legislation that would see the sale and distribution of a range single-use plastic products, such as bags and drinking straws banned.
The consultation looks at proposed legal powers that could see the sale and distribution of a range of single-use plastic products (SUPs) banned in the Isle of Man.
If passed, the legislation will make the Isle of Man one of the first jurisdictions in the British Isles to ban all the items listed under the EU Plastic Directive.
Items that could be banned include single use plastic carrier bags, cotton bud sticks, cutlery, drink stirrers, plates, straws.
