Covid-19 booster vaccination programme gets underway

The COVID-19 booster vaccination programme has got underway today on the Isle of Man.

Walk-in sessions for frontline health and care workers will be held at the Chester Street hub over the next three days.

Staff will be offered the opportunity to have a flu jab at the same time.

A Manx Government spokesperson said: "Having both vaccines will help create a shield against viruses, boost immunity over the winter and help protect health and care services by reducing demand – and those eligible are urged to have either or both at the earliest opportunity to protect themselves against serious illness this winter."
