The price of postage will increase in the Isle of Man from next month.
Isle of Man Post Office (IOMPO) has said the price rises are in light of increased costs owing to Brexit, customs changes, increased fuel and aircraft costs, as well as rising costs for onward delivery into the UK and internationally.
The changes will see increases of up to 8% to some postal product tariffs with the prices for ancillary mail products such as Redirections, PO Boxes, collections and accelerated delivery services unaffected.
The price of a standard local and UK letter will rise by 5p to 67p.
Julie Edge MHK, Chairman of Isle of Man Post Office, said: “IOMPO tariffs remain good value, and the Board are committed to ensuring the quality and sustainability of our services to all our customers and as we continue with our five year strategy to transform the business in the years to come, the new prices will help to achieve this and protect IOMPO’s proud self-funding status.”
