Biker killed in Mountain Road crash

A motorcyclist has died following a serious collision on the Mountain Road.

Emergency services were called to the A18 between the Bungalow and Hairpin on Monday afternoon.

Police have confirmed a 56-year-old man from Fleetwood sustained fatal injuries.

A force spokesperson said: "Enquiries in respect of the collision are still ongoing, with both the man’s family and the Coroner of inquests being kept fully updated."

"Police would respectfully request that the public refrain from speculating as to the causation of the collision at this time."
