Green laser pointed at incoming plane

Police are appealing for information after a laser pointer was directed at a moving aircraft.

The incident happened on Monday at around 8:30pm.

A commercial flight travelling from Liverpool to the Isle of Man had been subjected to having a green laser pointer shone into the cockpit of the aircraft.

The aircraft was on its final approach to landing at Ronaldsway airport. The aircraft landed safely without further incident.

The beam of the laser was believed to have come from the area of Onchan Head.
