Chief Minister candidates publish statements

The two members of the House of Keys aiming to become the Island's next Chief Minister have published their manifestos ahead of next week's vote.

Dr Alex Allinson and Alfred Cannan have been nominated for the top political post in the Manx Government following last month's General Election.

Parliamentary rules dictate each nominee must release a declaration of their aims and policies ahead of the vote.

Both candidates will be questioned during a live broadcast from Studio One and Energy FM / The Sound this Sunday at 8pm.

Tynwald will meet on Tuesday to elect the Chief Minister.
