Lifeboat involved in search for missing person

Douglas Lifeboat were called out last night after receiving reports of a missing person.

A request was received from the the Coastguard to assist them and Police at just after 8:20pm.

The crew conducted a shoreline search around Douglas Head and the Marine Drive from Port Skillion to the Pigeon Stream.

While the search was ongoing a report was received at 8.50pm that the person concerned had been found safe and well elsewhere at which point the lifeboat crew were stood down.
